Dr. Lowe was born in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He began medical school at Chicago Medical School and transferred to Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. After graduation, he completed post-graduate training in general surgery through Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his plastic surgery residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Lowe also went on to serve as an attending plastic surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and also completed a hand surgery fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Lowe’s extensive training in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery techniques helps him to create artistry in the surgical procedures he performs. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the John Staige Davis Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland, and the Northeast American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Dr. Lowe retired from surgery in December of 2017 after a long and illustrious career. His long-time partners, Dr. Buhrer & Dr. Spittler are happy to see his past patients & referrals.
