Imagine waking up every morning with your makeup perfect. It’s something to consider if you want to save time while enhancing your natural beauty. Permanent makeup can help if you have lighter eyebrows or even no eyebrows, if you’re tired of keeping a steady hand to apply eyeliner or if you want a better-defined lip line.

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is ideal for those with active lifestyles who want a no-hassle morning prep. It’s also helpful for those with visual or manual dexterity problems, have makeup allergies to conventional cosmetics, or want makeup that is smudge-proof, sweat-proof, swim-proof and tear-proof.

Permanent makeup can help if you have lighter eyebrows or even no eyebrows.

Meet the Staff

Meet the highly trained, skilled, caring staff of PSS MediSpa who are here to answer your questions about permanent makeup.

Understanding permanent makeup

Our staff can artistically apply permanent makeup to your eyelids, eyebrows and lips. The process is called micropigmentation. When you get a permanent makeup treatment, topical anesthetics are first applied to the desired areas, and sterile, one-time use disposable needles are then used to implant FDA-approved pigment permanently into the skin.

You’ll choose the color based on advice and suggestions from our esthetician, who will then use a sterile surgical pen to sketch the area to be tattooed and then put an anesthetic gel on your skin.

Permanent makeup recovery and results

It can take several weeks for the color to fade to its permanent shade; at first, the color may look dark and shiny. Most people experience no pain, swelling or bruising during or after the treatment. It’s important to avoid the sun and use sunscreen for several weeks to prevent color changes. There is little to no recovery time, and you’ll leave your Annapolis permanent makeup appointment feeling beautiful and ready to take on the world.

If you’re considering permanent makeup, your next step should be a consultation with one of our skin care experts.
